The Challenge
This two-story foyer had beautiful bones — the height, the staircase, the natural light — but it was completely bare. A small table and a generic mirror were lost in the scale. The homeowner wanted drama without pretension.
The Choices We Made
We anchored the space with an oversized paneled mirror that reflects light and doubles the perceived depth. A marble-topped console with an organic driftwood base bridges formal and natural. Globe sconces on either side create warm pools of light at eye level, and a crackled wallpaper texture adds subtle richness to the walls without competing with the mirror.
Guests now pause when they walk in — that's the goal. The foyer sets the tone for the entire home: elegant, warm, and considered. The mirror trick makes it feel twice as grand as it actually is.
